How a CT Printer Works

The working principle of a CT printer is based on X-ray scanning and digital image processing technology, and consists of two core steps: data acquisition and image generation.

Data Acquisition
A CT scanner uses an X-ray tube to emit high-energy X-rays that penetrate various tissue structures in the human body. Detectors receive the X-rays and convert them into electrical signals. These signals are converted to digital signals by an analog-to-digital converter (A/D) and stored in a computer system as a digital matrix.

Image Generation
The digital matrix is ​​converted to analog signals by a digital-to-analog converter (D/A), generating cross-sectional images on a monitor. The digital matrix can also be output directly to film via a laser printer, achieving a physical record of the image.

Technical Features
Laser Printing Technology: Directly converts digital signals to film images, eliminating signal attenuation and distortion, and providing high-definition images (resolution up to 600 dpi).

Self-Service Film Retrieval: Automatically retrieves image data through a PACS system, supporting barcode, card, or facial recognition for patient identification verification.

Efficient Output: Multiple films can be output per minute, with simultaneous printing of images and diagnostic reports.
